Uzbekistan – 2030: National Development Strategy

The "Uzbekistan – 2030" Strategy is the country's principal framework for medium- and long-term development, approved by presidential decree in September 2023. It sets out 100 goals across five priority areas, each backed by measurable indicators, assigned responsible institutions, and defined funding sources — allowing progress to be tracked transparently through a dedicated digital monitoring platform.

The strategy builds on the reforms of "New Uzbekistan" and aims to double the country's GDP, cut poverty sharply, and move Uzbekistan into the ranks of upper-middle-income nations by the end of the decade. Since adoption, the country has already shown strong momentum: nominal GDP rose from roughly $107.5 billion in 2023 to about $140–145 billion in 2025, annual growth has topped 7%, unemployment has fallen from 6.8% to 4.9%, and poverty has dropped from 11% to under 7%.

A revised draft of the strategy for the 2026–2030 period has since been opened for nationwide public discussion, updating specific targets while keeping the same five priorities and 100-goal structure.
